EVANGELIST DORINDA CLARK-COLE is a highly acclaimed American gospel singer, songwriter, evangelist, talk show host, and cultural leader, often referred to as “The Rose of Gospel Music.” She rose to prominence as a key member of The Clark Sisters, one of the most successful and influential gospel groups in history, helping them win multiple Grammy Awards and become internationally recognized. As a solo artist, Dorinda has earned numerous awards, including multiple Stellar Gospel Music Awards and a Lady of Soul Award, and her albums have consistently charted on Billboard’s gospel charts. She has also made history beyond music, becoming the first African American woman to preach to more than 4,000 people in South Africa, highlighting her influence in both ministry and global evangelism.
In addition to her musical legacy, she is an entrepreneur and media personality, hosting the nationally syndicated Dorinda Clark-Cole Radio Show and television programs like "The Dorinda Show" and "Gospel According to Dorinda", which extended her reach to audiences across the United States. She founded and leads several organizations — including Cole Enterprises and the Singers, Musicians and Arts Conference (SMAC) — that mentor and empower emerging gospel artists and leaders. Dorinda’s influence also includes fashion and community care, with brands like The DCC Rose Collection and a community adult daycare center called The Grace House. Her career was further honored in 2024 when she was recognized as a Trailblazer of Gospel at the BMI Awards, celebrating her more than 50-year impact on gospel music. Through her award-winning music, evangelistic ministry, media platforms, mentorship, and community service, Dorinda Clark-Cole has become a national influencer whose contributions resonate across faith, culture, and the arts in the United States and around the world.
