April 4th is National School Librarian Day!!! This day is observed to recognize the professionals, like Dr. Gaines, who make school libraries a popular place to develop a love for reading and learning. Dr. Keshia Gaines received her Ph.D. from the prestigious University of Southern Mississippi. After approximately 11 years of college, (4 years for her undergraduate degree, 2 years for her masters degree, and approximately 5 years for her Ph.D.) Dr. Gaines graduated and continued to work in the education field. In December 2023, Dr. Gaines earned her National Board Teacher Certification in Library Media! She is the author of Elementary Library Lesson Plans and several other books in the education field.
